About
I'm a software developer. I finished a Computer Science degree at Ball State in 2026 and I'm continuing there as a Graduate Assistant, in the master's program at the Center for Information and Communication Sciences.
Most of what I build is infrastructure for things that talk over the air: a multi-gateway telemetry pipeline that reconciles duplicate packets into MySQL, a weather server that transcribes radio broadcasts locally and needs no internet, an encrypted tunnel cross-compiled down to fit 4 MB of flash. The domain is unusual; the problems — data modeling, deduplication, constrained hardware, verifying that a write actually happened — are not.
The radio side is not incidental: I've been KD9GEK since 2016 and I'm president of the Muncie Area Amateur Radio Club. It's where the interesting constraints come from.
